Young Creatives Denmark

Helping young advertisers

For 5 years I was part of Young Creatives Denmark (YCDK), an organisation that helped young advertisers grow their network and get closer to an agency job. Here are some of the things we did.

Young Creative Circle Award

For two years we found clients and wrote briefs for the yearly 24 hour competition. The winners got to represent Denmark in Cannes for the Young Lions competition.

The youngsters had to destigmatise young people living with HIV and help deaf people.

Face to face with the agencies

We created a recurring event where agencies hosted youngsters, told them about their way of working and gave them feedback on their portfolios. A win for agencies get to meet the next generation of talent, and a win for talents who can get some solid feedback and a feel of the agency.

We partnered with Bureaubiz to give the ‘youngstar’ with the most promising portfolio an interview on their site.

 

Speed date a “beach lion”

We came up with a concept for Cannes beach where we gave youngsters 10 min with creative directors from renowned Danish agency. They could spend the time anyway they wanted, from talking about a piece of work, asking for advice or impressing them with jokes – because chemistry and connections are the best start to landing a future job.
